The Accreditation Council for Business Schools and Programs (ACBSP), institution partner of CLADEA, announced that Dewayne Thompson, Ph.D., Professor and Chair of the Department of Business at Lee University in Cleveland, Tenn., has been awarded the 2013 International Best of Regions Excellence Award for his presentation, A Business Ethics Framework: The Foundation of CSR.

Thompson presented the session during the ACBSP Annual Conference in Salt Lake City, Utah this June, along with six other business faculty, who like Thompson, had previously been selected as a “Best of Regions” presenter at their ACBSP regional meeting held last fall. All presenters selected as “Best of Regions” during the fall meetings were guaranteed a concurrent session presentation at the 2013 Annual Conference.

“I teach at a Christian college, suggesting that ethical decision-making finds a welcome environment; additionally, faculty are encouraged to integrate their faith within the discipline,” Thompson said. “

“Business faculty at ACBSP-accredited colleges and universities are among the best in their field,” said Douglas Viehland, ACBSP Executive Director. “ACBSP has a mission to develop, promote and recognize best practices that contribute to continuous improvement of business education. Recognizing faculty members who strive for this every day online and in the classroom is one way we achieve this goal,” he stated.
