The Association of Business Schools - ABS will organize the Annual Research Conference - Beyond the REF 2014. This event will take place at Cambridge Judge Business School on Wednesday 18th March 2015.

Conference themes:
  • Look at the ABS analysis of REF outcomes and impacts on business schools
  • Consider how research staff in business and management schools are formulating future research strategies
  • Review the people impacts of REF 2014 on the research community and the implications for business school faculties
  • Look at how institutions are responding to the REF and examine implications for business and management research funding
  • Investigate what strategies might be adopted in response to REF 2014 in anticipation of 2020?
  • Review “impact” measurement, how has business and management research faredand what lessons can be drawn?
  • Discuss “open access” publishing and examine whether it is achieving its stated objectives
  • Offer information and guidance on EU and Horizon 2020 funding sources
  • Provide an opportunity to exchange experiences of international partnerships and how these are evolving
  • Consider the age demographic of the business and management education research academy and research selection and succession planning
