E4impact (Entrepreneurship for Impact) is an initiative launched by ALTIS, the Graduate School of Business and Society of the Catholic University of Milan, with the intent of forging a new class of entrepreneurs, the so-called impact entrepreneurs: people with strong attention to social and environmental issues, active in all industries (not only in the social sector).

To pursue this aim E4impact offers an innovative Executive MBA in Impact Entrepreneurship, in partnership with local universities in emerging countries.

The motto of the MBA is “We do not teach entrepreneurs, we train entrepreneurs”: The program aims, in fact, at forging job creators and not job seekers and offers coaching and mentoring activities that help participants in developing their own business idea, transform it in a validated business model and finally in a business plan. The formula is blended (online courses plus in-class lectures), entails an incubator experience and focuses on the creation of an entrepreneurial ecosystem around the university and the impact entrepreneur (investors, venture funds, foundations, corporations, incubators and accelerators).

The MBA is not just and educational tool, but is also a precious instrument to support SMEs’ global development. E4impact, in fact, helps international companies and start-ups to select reliable local entrepreneurs, able to support them in scaling their business in the country where the MBA in run.

The program is currently in place in Kenya, Ghana and Sierra Leone, but will be scaled around Africa and Asia in the near future and hopefully in Latin America. In each country, E4impact is  looking for universities, oriented to entrepreneurship and social impact, interested in becoming the leader of the project in their nation. This will create a strong international alliance among Business Schools for the sustainable development.
