Special Track of Deans - Doctoral Programs in Latin America

This year in Medellin, CLADEA will have a special track of deans about DOCTORAL PROGRAMS IN LATIN AMERICA. The track will be conducted by EDAMBA (The European Doctoral Association in Management and Business Administration) and CLADEA. This track will be in October 3, at 12 at the INTERCONTINENTAL HOTEL.  Please separate this time in your agenda.


The aim of this track is to discuss about the doctoral program that Latin America needs.

In order to have a very productive meeting, I would like you to answer and send me your ideas about the following questions:


1.  How do we prepare our doctoral students for academic success in Latin America?  What do we need to do so they are competitive Globally?
2.  What is unique to the Latin American research culture – how do your programs address these needs?
3.  Ph.D. Or DBA what are we really training our Doctoral students for … Practitioner world or Academia?
4.  Traditional dissertation format or the 3-Paper model … which is best in the Latin American research context to spur research/publishing culture and associated productivity?


The language of the track will be English.
