In order to strengthen the networking between business schools in Asia and Latin America, CLADEA and AAPBS (Association of Asia-Pacific Business Schools) signed a reciprocal membership agreement.

The member institutions of both associations can join and develop collaborative projects. In addition, they will have a reduced membership fee for the AAPBS member schools keen to join CLADEA and vice-versa.

This is a great opportunity for Deans and Rectors of member schools of CLADEA and prestigious World-class institutions will meet at the 1st Dean´s Workshop of CLADEA, held on May 30 – 31, 2019 in Miami, Florida (USA).

El Consejo Latinoamericano de Escuelas de Administración (CLADEA) y Florida International University’s College of Business (FIU Business) organizarán el 1st Deans's and Directors Workshop, que se realizará del 30 al 31 de mayo en Miami, Florida (USA).

Esta es una gran oportunidad para que decanos y rectores de escuelas miembros de CLADEA e instituciones de renombre a nivel global, puedan conocer y discutir con diversos expertos las nuevas perspectivas de la educación empresarial, acreditación, internacionalización y los retos y oportunidades que genera la transformación digital.

CLADEA, together with Universidad de Lima and Universidad ESAN are pleased to present the CLADEA 2019 Assembly, an event that will take place from October 27 to 29 in the city of Lima – Peru and will bring together rectors, deans, business program and faculty directors and researchers from countries in America, Europe and Oceania.

Nowadays, digital trasformation and the issues facing society, have generated disruptive processes which have an impact on organizations on a global level; in this scenario, business schools face a paradigm shift which presents challenges linked with their business and teaching model. We find ourselves in a context where our actions impact the lives of other people on the planet. It is indispensable for measures to be taken, from academia, oriented towards promoting ethical and socially responsible practices in our students. The challenge is to optimize the digital ecosystem. With the objective of developing research projects that promote prosperity on a global level, Andrew Main Wilson, president of AMBA - Association of MBAs and Octavio Ibarra, president of CLADEA signed a collaboration agreement oriented towards creating a work group composed of deans and academics of business schools of Latin America, South Africa and India in order to:

  • Produce transcontinental publications that achieve an impact on governmental and corporate policy addressed at the "bottom of the pyramid", low income segments.
  • Explore sources of finance to institutionalize this association and make it self-financed and self-sustainable.


With this agreement, it is hoped to contribute to the solution of the problems of humanity in the framework of the 17 Social Development Goals.
