1st CLADEA´s Dean’s Workshop

The 1st Dean´s Workshop of CLADEA was held with great success, an event held from May 30 to 31 in Miami, with Florida International University’s College of Business (FIU Business) as host institution. The activity brought together rectors, deans and directors of business schools in Spain, France, Belgium, the United States, Mexico, Uruguay, Honduras, Dominican Republic, Colombia, Ecuador, Chile and Peru.

During the meeting, the new perspectives on business education, accreditation, internationalization and the challenges generated by digital transformation for companies and business schools were analyzed.

The first day the Panel “What business schools need from accreditation bodies?” was held, which discussed how to design and implement strategies to face a successful accreditation process.

In addition to this, other  sessions were held: “Developing an internationalization strategy for your school” ;  “The future of business schools: an emerging market perspective” and “How to improve business school social impact” , which highlighted the good practices of the institutions that are part of the United Nations PRME, with the purpose of assessing their impact on public and private initiatives.

Similarly, panels and sessions were developed with the business community, in which the following topics were addressed: “How Can Business and Academia Become More Aligned?” and “The Three T’s: Technology, Talent and Testing.”

Within the framework of this event, CLADEA’S Collaborative Online International Learning Programs was launched, an initiative of our network aimed at promoting the internationalization of curricula using digital platforms and videoconferences.
